Music Queensland - reproduction and copyright

Can I copy Music Queensland scores?

Most scores in the Music Queensland database are out of copyright and you can print, copy or download them for private research or study purposes without asking for permission. This includes using a music score or part of a music score in a school assignment.

If you plan to reproduce Music Queensland images for a display or exhibit, or use them for commercial purposes, you may need to apply in writing to the Library Board of Queensland, and a reproduction fee may apply. No digital manipulation or modification of the music scores is permitted.

What if I would like a better print?

If you wish to order a high quality copy of any music score covers, click on "View score" then "Order the cover image" to link to our Photographic and image order form. Images can be supplied as a photograph or a digital file.
